DJI Mini 4 Pro
Ultra-light camera drone (under 249 g) with 4K HDR video and all-round obstacle sensing – for aerial footage of buildings, grounds and events.
Overview
The DJI Mini 4 Pro is an ultra-light, foldable camera drone for high-quality aerial footage – e.g. of campus buildings, outdoor grounds, events or for image films. Despite a take-off weight of under 249 g it delivers 4K HDR video and has omnidirectional obstacle sensing, which makes flying considerably safer.
It is designed for easy operation (automatic modes, return-to-home), but it remains an aircraft – be sure to read the “Before flying” section before your first take-off. Additional rules apply on campus.

Remote controller: DJI RC 2
The drone is flown with the DJI RC 2 – a remote controller with a built-in display. You don’t need a smartphone: live image, settings and take-off/landing all run directly from the controller. Charge and pair controller and drone before flying.
Wide-angle lens
A wide-angle lens is included for the Mini 4 Pro. It clips onto the front of the camera and widens the field of view – more surroundings in frame, ideal for tight spaces or wide landscape/building shots.
Accessories
Two-way charging hub
The two-way charging hub charges several batteries one after another and can also act as a power bank (e.g. to charge the controller or a phone on the go). For longer shoots, fully charge all batteries beforehand.
Before flying
The Mini 4 Pro is not a toy – before every use:
- Obtain a flight permit: A permit is required for flights on campus – arrange it in advance, do not take off spontaneously.
- Wear the green “Drohnenpilot” vest: It comes with the equipment and clearly identifies you as the pilot – always put it on when flying.
- Follow EU drone rules: operator registration (e-ID on the drone), a valid EU competency certificate, keep the drone in sight at all times, maximum altitude 120 m, do not fly over uninvolved people.
⚠ Important: Flying without a permit and without following the rules can result in fines and liability. When in doubt, do not take off and check first.
